BSNL JTO 2009 Job Details and How to Apply

BSNL is recruiting JTO (Junior Telecom Officers) for 2009 and here are the details of the same.

Last date for receipt of application forms 06.04.2009
Date of Examination 21.06.2009
 J.T.O. is in the IDA pay-scale of Rs. 9850-250-14600.
Number of Vacancies 3945 [subject to variation depending on the availability of vacancies]

Examination to be held on 21st June 2009 (Sunday) on All India basis

Educational Qualifications for JTO 2009:
Applicant must possess as on 31.12.2009, Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university:
i. Telecommunication,
ii. Electronics,
iii. Radio,
iv. Computer,
v. Electrical.
vi. Information Technology
Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31.12.2009.

How to apply:

The envelope containing application form should be marked “Application for J.T.Os(Telecom) Examination-2008” OR “Application for J.T.Os (Civil) Examination-2008” OR “Application for J.T.Os(Electrical) Examination-2008”, as the case may be, in bold letters on top of the envelope.
An examination fee of Rs.750/-(Rupees Seven Hundred and fifty only) is payable in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of Senior Accounts Officer/Accounts Officer payable at the respective stations. No Fee payable by SC/ST/PH

Last date for JTO 2009
Application forms complete in every respect must reach on or before 06.04.2009.

For JTOs(Telecom)
Section-I : Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-II : Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-III : General Ability Test : 20 questions
For JTOs(Electrical)
Section-I : Electrical Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-II : Electrical Engineering stream: 50 questions
Section-III : General Awareness : 20 questions
For JTOs (Civil)
Section-I : Civil Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-II : Civil Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-III : General Ability Test : 20 questions

The Question Paper will be fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of paper in engineering subjects will be that of Engineering Examination of an Indian University.

    You can apply, but you still have to snail mail it and also make a demand draft of Rs. 750 to the concerned BSNL CGM , hurry up last date is 6th april. More details are inside

    I am a still in my final semester of my b.tech can i apply and is it the same question paper for a student of any stream. since i being a cse student is it very tough for me to cover all the ece or eee topics in short span of time?????

    hi am student for final year computer engg.
    i want to know that for computer engg students also have same paper in which there is very less portion of computers related question and more of tham are electronics and electricals question .

    so i want to know that for computers engg. there is some different marks weightage or the same like electronics engg.?

    @Rajani As far as I know, there is no special weightage to Comp. science questions for CS students, earlier it was different, but now things have changed . I am myself a C.S Engineer and I know that I’ll have to study all Electronics stuff to pass this exam . The syllabus and scheme of paper is clearly written in the jto.doc file take a good look at it.

    hi i’m a final year ece student i have 1 arrear (microwave communication paper of 6th semester), am i eligible….I received the admit card from BSNL but due to a problem not able to write my engineering exam ( microwave engineering) so pls let me know whether i am eligible…
    Many of my friends have arrears so pls do reply, it would be very useful…..

    I think that this year (2010) bsnl may not recruit jto or even TTA for d past three-five years bsnl hav recruited about 10thousand jtos.N i thnk that we hav lost all the chance this year or for d next 5-6 years.So guys forget about Jto ,i hav been waiting myself for d same job.But Alas!… Itz gone now.Take care bi
