CBSE Central Board of School Education (CBSE) this year announced Grading system for the results. With the replacing marks with grades in Class X results from this year, Students will now get to know the grades in each subject, plus the grade point and the cumulative grade point average (CGPA).We are here including grading system details and how the grade system will be according marks.
CBSE is definitely building the education system flexible here at least for class Xth Students. Board exams have been made elective from the academic year 2010-11. A new system of grade– Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) – based on grades has been approved.
what is cgpa ?
Well CGPA means cumulative grade point average (CGPA).

* 91-100 – A1 -10.0
* 81 -90 – A2-9.0
* 71 -80 – B1-8.0
* 61-70 – B2-7.0
* 51 -60 – C1-6.0
* 41 -50 – C2-5.0
* 33-40 – D -4.
* 21-32 – E1
* 00-20 – E2

CGPA to to Percentage
The CGPA is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies.
An indicative equivalence of Grade Point and Percentage of Marks can be assessed as follows:
Subject wise indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x GP of the Subject.
Overall indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x CGPA
