Educational Qualification : The minimum educational qualification required is a Bachelor,s degree from a recognized university.

Age: 20 to 25 years as on 01.07.2009, i.e. those born not earlier than 02.07.1984 and not later than 01.07.1989 will be eligible. Relaxation as per Govt rule
Standard of Physical Measurement of Male candidates

Physical standard for male candidate:

Height : Minimum 170 cms
Chest : Minimum 81 cms to 85 cmsThe candidate is required to have minimum 81 cms chest in an unexpanded state and with expansion it should be minimum 85 cms. For all candidates minimum expansion has to be 4 cms., failing which he will be disqualified). Relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas for which certificates as above will be produced.

Medical Standard
The candidates should be of sound health, free from defect/deformity/disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 (without glasses). No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.

Physical Measurement of Female candidates
Height : Minimum 157 cms
