Indian Space Research Organisation  SPACE APPLICATIONS CENTRE

Space activities in the country started during early 1960s with the scientific investigation of upper atmosphere and ionosphere over the magnetic equator that passes over Thumba near Thiruvananthapuram using small sounding rockets Realising the immense potential of space technology for national development.

Applications are invited for the following posts-

I. Graduate Apprentices

1. Electronics & Communication Engg.
Qualification : B.E/B.Tech.(FIRST CLASS with minimum 65% Marks or above) in Electronics & Communication Engg. declared by recognized University.

2. Mechanical Engg.
Qualification :B.E/B.Tech.(FIRST CLASS with minimum 65% Marks or above) in Mechanical Engg. declared by recognized University.

3. Computer Engg./ Computer Science.
Qualification : B.E/B.Tech.(FIRST CLASS with minimum 65% Marks or above) in Computer Engg./ Computer Science declared by recognized University.

4. Electrical Engg.
Qualification : B.E/B.Tech.(FIRST CLASS with minimum 65% Marks or above) in Electrical Engg. declared by recognized University.

5. Library Science
Qualification : Graduate + Diploma in Library Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science (FIRST CLASS) declared by recognized University/Board.
Pay Scale : 5000/- per month.
Age Limit : 35 years as on 19/11/2010

II. Technician Apprentices

1. Electronics & Communication Engg.
Qualification : Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Electronics & Communication Engg. declared by State Board of Technical Education.

2. Mechanical Engg.
Qualification : Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Mechanical Engg. declared by State Board of Technical education.

3. Computer Engg./ Computer Science.
Qualification : Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Computer Engg. declared by State Board of Technical Education.

4. Electrical Engg.
Qualification : Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Electrical Engg. declared by State Board of Technical Education.

5. Hotel Management & Catering Technology
Qualification : Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Hotel Management & Catering Technology declared by State Board of Technical Education.
Age Limit : 35 years as on 19/11/2010

6. Secretarial Practice / Commercial Practice
Qualification : SSC with minimum 50% marks in aggregate + 2 or 3 years’ Diploma in Secretarial Practice / Commercial Practice awarded by recognized Central/State Technical Education Board.
Age Limit :26 years as on 19/11/2010.
Pay Scale : 3000/- per month 26 years as on 19/11/2010.

How to apply- Fully filled application in the prescribed format, in plain paper – 210 X 297 mm duly filled in and signed along with ATTESTED TRUE COPIES of all certificates including SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificates in the attached formats (Annexure -I for PWD, II for SC/ST and III for OBC
